Well to be fair anybody slobbering Putins knob are idiots. He's an ex-KGB spook, and nobody should believe anything any spook from anywhere ever says. He had a masterful delivery in the interview. He made himself relatable, and any American right-leaning person is going to leave that wondering at least to some extent if we are the bad guys, which is absolutely his desired outcome. Or maybe he's genuine and correct, and wants global peace and prosperity and wants America to "wake up." Odds are we'll never know the truth one way or the other. It's worth sitting through just because it is of major historical significance IMO

Agree 100%. Putin is a killer and evil evil man. Anyone who thinks highly of this guy is a fricking retard.

But it can be beneficial to interview people like him if they’re interviewed by a tough journalist. You can see how they view things, what their thought process is. Which is the point I was getting at. In no way was I trying to praise Putin.

Journalists should be encouraged to interview as many prominent historical figures they can (good or bad). We shouldn’t be discouraging that. Which is what the fig who commented on my OP was getting at.

What's your opinion on Julius Caesar? Ghengis Khan? Hannibal? Nobunaga? Napoleon? Montezuma? Shaka Zulu? I could go on.

Finding figures interesting who have done violence doesn't necessarily mean you are praising them.
