- At some point it's time to give people like myself a chance. Look where our nation is: it's been led since the close of WWII by people like Chuck Schumer. Schumer was born in 1950. In 1975, after going to Harvard, he entered politics, and has never left. Half a century in politics, several years at Harvard, and not a single day of his adult life in the real world, with real Americans, dealing with real issues. How many times are we going to see the Ivy League in the biographies of these people and still not learn a lesson about what the Ivy League produces?

My brother, you are preaching to the choir!

Since World War II, list the POTUS (D) or (R) who did not have this in their resume.

#1 Ivy League school
#2 Service Academy (especially West Point)
#3 Near Ivy League school (Stanford, Duke, UVA, UM, and such)
#4 Private college of note
#5 Spend most of life on E / W Coast or upper MW big city MSA (like Chicago)
#6 Actual close family ties to the 1% of the 1% of the 1%
#7 Never had a working class job in their life (like flipping burgers or such)

The most inbred city in the USA is not in the South, it is in the East Coast corridor and I will bet you 99 out of 100 on this board have never been there in person.

Ronald Reagan probably comes the closest. He did move to California.
