Pirates with Depp has been a big moneymaker. Depp is also getting older and he’s white, which is a huge problem for Disney now. And we all know thee are struggling to produce anything new so they’ll keep throwing our remakes and sequels.
Disney hasn’t really had a hit in a while and can use another successful Pirates movie I guess. Unfortunately their leadership seems to be more focused on politics than maximizing shareholder value. I am not confident that they will be successful with a new Pirates movie.
I sincerely hope that Musk can buy enough shares to influence that company’s leadership. They can be so much better than they are without really spending much more on production.
