bullshite. You get notices of date of cancelation and dates coverage was binder by new insurance
You wanted to save money so you didn't pay the last month's premium with old carrier. They then, because you never paid balance, placed the cancelation backdated to the end of previous payment, causing you to have a lapse of coverage.
