7PRC is pimped by the hornady marketing machine and will have much better staying power than 6.8 western IMO.
Winchester just doesn't have the market clout to compete with Hornady. I think all the PRC stuff is here to stay. From what I can tell, 6.8w is practically dead already.

There is no 6.8w brass to be found anywhere. And only Winchester was making it.
With 7prc you have several companies making the brass.
