I’m all for innovation and the pursuit of renewable energy and cleaner vehicles, but punishing people for the buying what’s readily available is so stupid. You want people to buy electric cars? Get the tech to a point where it’s actually realistic for a massive shift. We’re just not there yet. Create the proper infrastructure and an efficient energy source. Until then, it’s work in progress with many milestones to achieve.
