They're good for getting rid of shite heads and producing some generally funny videos. I have one of a guy driving like a douche and his fire extinguisher breaks free in the backseat and goes off.
As far as liability, i consider it a wash. For everything it exonerates you on you have hard evidence of an employee doing something legitimately stupid on others and you're fault is proven. Also, if you have a driver with a poor driving history and didn't do anything about it, it opens you up to additional liability via negligence.
