I’ve been saying this for years, lessens the importance of the deep shot but still an incentive to take it. People would get used to the crazy high scores after a few years

Fts are still worth 1pt and you get 2fts whenever you are fouled shooting, regardless of where you shoot. Non shooting fouls when in the bonus that lead to fts you now take 3fts instead of 2. This means there is less incentive to try and draw a foul so players are more focussed on actually trying to score. Yes it does incentivize the defense to foul more but hell I’m here for more physical play
