re: Have you ever ran over a dog?

A long long time ago, I was a freshman in college, wife (then girlfriend) was a senior in high school. She left her volleyball gear or some shite at my house, asked if I could bring it over that morning before work for me, school for her.

I loaded up and drove over. In her neighborhood, I'm about 50 feet from her house. Black cat runs out, squish, squish. Hit it with the front and back tires.

Kids are out front waiting for the bus, and I just ran over their cat. I wasn't speeding, maybe going 10-15 mph. Oh wait, it was also Friday 13th.

That's right, I ran over a black cat, on Friday the 13th, in front of its owners children.

I've never felt more horrible.
