First time I bought a car exact same thing happened to me. They completely bamboozled me and I was too worn out and naive to fight it. Walked out the dealership with a knot in my stomach.
Next day I got an attorney friend to write them a letter threatening action if they didnt let me out of the contract. Not only did they let me out, but the GM hand delivered me a $200 "I'm sorry" check. Was basically hush money.
FYI, that was the Honda dealership in Slidell right across the twin span if you ever go. Not sure if they've changed practices, but the finance lady was a fricking wolf.
