Vacations are booked so far out in advance that it’s pretty common to already have one on the books when starting a new job. It should be revealed during the interview process and agreed upon then. I’ve never not hired someone bc they had a vacation already booked and I’ve never lost a job bc I had one booked. Expected in the executive world, really.
