I agree, Keller's Amaretto or the Poupart French are the best king cakes I've had. I think due to the shorter season both Keller's decides not to ship this year.
Julie Ann's is a good option to, if they ship itreminded me a lot of Poupart's Traditional. Not as dense as the Mardi Gras cakes most people associate with King Cakes, but more of a danish pastry flavor and texture and less brioche. It is by far the best in the 318, and could compete with many of the bakery options south of I-10.

Keller's is avg at best. Meche's blows that shite away by a mile, and I know (and don't care) that it's a "donut" king cake. It tastes better.
