Back in the day, it was with tube cameras. Those Ikegamis weighed 40+ pounds without the battery. They were tough to handle for a guy who weighed 130 pounds soaking wet (I don't weight that any more).

Now it's all chips, but the lenses are manual focus.

I hope I can get another 8 years out of my old body before I hang it up. Luckily my eyesight is still darn good and my joints are holding up.
