So to this point , about 80% believe he will be just a good to really good player moving forward best case scenario.
So my question is , why does there seem to be such a big aversion to trading him on this board? Is it just a vocal minority situation?

Because unless we swindle a team for Zion+picks+contracts for a superstar, trading Zion means we're going into full rebuild mode and I'm not sure how many day one Hornets/Pels fans have the stomach to go through a fourth rebuild.
For as underwhelming as these last five years have been, Zion is still our best shot at having a true bonafide superstar that can lead us to a WCF and beyond. Based on how his career has gone so far, chances are that Zion won't ever figure it out and unlock that full potential... but there's still a chance. If we trade him, there is no chance.
