I’ve fought speeding tickets a number of times for this, and had a positive resolution every time. Go to the district/city attorney’s office, be polite and reasonable, explain the situation and instead of accusing just suggest there may be a discrepancy. Admit you were speeding since the evidence you’re going to provide will clearly show that. In most cases the district attorney/city attorney will offer a diversion program or change the charge to a non-movable. If he doesn’t, keep your court date. A lot of times the attorney will throw it out at that time when they’re trying to lighten the docket. But don’t be afraid to present your case in court. Often the police officer who wrote the ticket won’t be there, which again gets your ticket tossed.
Remember though, your attitude will determine your altitude.
