What is far more important than the absence of a 3-point line was the absence of a shot clock. What would Pete have done with an extra 10 or 15 possessions every game?

When she scores 60 points per game that would be equivalent to Pete’s 44. Plenty of Pete’s shots would have been 3 pointers and you had no shot clock back then.
