$75k is the highest in the country? That number was put into place in what the 1980’s?

I think they should phase in property taxes so all property owners pay something.
Say every property owner pays taxes on the first 50K of value. After that the Homestead Exemption kicks in. After that you pay taxes just as you do now.
That way all property owners have an interest in whether or not a tax passes.
