Threads such as this brings to mind your earlier comment about remembering the “Before Times.”

Though perhaps frowned upon in polite society, it once was widely understood that those men most likely drawn to military service — at least in the enlisted ranks — often held rigid opinions on the proper roles of males and females in society.

It was accepted — even in a pluralistic society — because such a Neanderthal mentality was based on man’s inborn desire to defend the women & children in their clan against hostile tribes.

Yet when the “freedoms” men are called upon to defend include the “right” of perverts to shower with little girls, a real man will seriously question why he should risk his life defending such perversity.
