Thanks for the heads up. My girlfriend just flew into Charlotte. When she gets settled we are gonna look at the weather and get a plan.

Bryson City, NC has a cool little downtown area where the Nantahala River passes through. There is a trail entrance with bathrooms, etc here too. Last time I was there plenty of people getting on and off the trail there.
