I hate to burst your bubble but Bama never considered LSU as a rival. They still don't and they never will. Tennessee and Auburn are their true rivals. I was living in Montgomery when Bama played LSU for the NC. They beat LSU and to be honest they weren't really worried before the game. They knew LSU beat them and they all knew that Saban and his players wanted revenge. They got their revenge. The Bama fans just look at the LSU game as they do when they play Ole Miss. Mississippi State is about seventy-five miles from the Bama campus and they don't consider Mississippi State a rival. The thing that I could never understand about Bama fans is that they do sick and perverted things to opposing fans and schools. The fans act up after they win a big game. Teabagging and poisoning of trees that are over a hundred years old is sick. Bama vs Georgia Tech was Bama's biggest game before Tech left. BTW, Bama did not play Auburn every year. There was a big gap in the years that they played each other. LSU fans made the game against Bama important. Bama never considered LSU as a true rival. When I went to LSU our biggest rival was Ole Miss. We had Ole Miss week when people set garbage cans on fire and the guys would go to the girl's dorms for a panty raid. LSU fans made the game important because of Saban. If Bama starts going down, they will definitely right the ship.
