Can you soaked dried beans an extra day?

Was planning on cooking red beans and soaked them overnight, but had a change of plans and need to cook the next day.
Any issue with soaking beans for 34+ hours? I leave them out on the counter overnight, but would it be better to put in the fridge the second night?

Just strain them and put them back in fridge. You can soak too long and beans loose color and flavor.

I would worry about them fermenting and tasting sour.
