I have quite a few 1911’s. The Springfield Operator in 9mm or 45 will be hard to beat in your price range. You can find OTD for $1100. If you want a 2011 with 19 rd capacity look into Bul Armory SAS. Can be found used on GB for $1400. Helluva gun for the price.
