Unless you can practice in Germany as a civilian, take the assignment. My biggest regret during my 24 years was not getting stationed there. Luckily I was fortunate enough to go TDY there a few times. I really enjoy that country.

I am early 30s, I took several years in between undergrad and med school. Which means I could end up being 7 years or even older than some people in my future residency class if I take the Germany spot.
