Because DDP isn't a slouch with grappling. I've started training BJJ recently. I think it's amazing against someone who isn't trained. But you have to be many levels above someone who is trained and also knows wrestling, striking, etc. to go down that path as your main plan. And Strickland is a good boxer, so why stray from that.
