quote:No, you just don't follow recruiting. When Florida started looking like complete trash, kids started decommitting.
Everyone hatting on you, but clearly they lack reading comprehension ability and have the IQ of a banana.
Those that linked the recruiting sites, should have scrolled through the list. Only 1 UF recruit in like the top 20-30.
So he didn't recruit well at all at UF.
Horrible.
Florida lost Wardell Mack and star Filsame that Raymond had committed. Both flipped to Texas. One is from Texas, and one is from Louisiana.
Yall this is not hard to find. These are the guys Corey was either a primary or secondary recruiter on that he had committed in 2023, or committed, but then flipped SPECIFICALLY because of how bad Florida was.
Xavier Filsaime - 4 star 33 overall #2 S
Ja'Keem Jackson - 4 star 55 overall #6 CB
Wardell Mack - 4 star 100 overall #12 CB
Dijon Johnson - 4 star 115 overall #12 CB
Jordan Castell - 4 star 238 overall #17 S
Sheriff Denson - 4 star 256 overall #31 CB
Aaron Gates - 4 star 369 overall #33 S
Bryce Thornton - 3 star 466 overall #47 S
RJ Moten- 4 star S transfer from Michigan
In 2 years, had they been decent, he would have had 7 four star DBs and 8 DBs total. Three DBs in the top 100, 4 in the top 115, and 6 in the top 260.
After looking at this and his assessment at LSU and Florida, I realize that a badly performing head coach or side of football can greatly impact what a position coach can offer to an out of state kid. This has happened twice now. Look at LSU's 2020 class the year before shite hit the fan
Eli Ricks - 5 star 18 overall #2 CB
Dwight McGlothern - 4 star 277 overall #27 CB
Ricks was from California and McGlothern was from Texas. Burns went to UGA and then a year later, came back to LSU. (He was also previously committed to LSU).
