Ender-3 3D printer

Welcome to the world of modifying 3D printers lol.

X & Y should have endstops preconfigured to home. Basic ender 3 will also have a z-end stop and you will have to manually level bed using screws under corners of the bed. Should be plenty of videos on how to do that online.

First upgrade I did to mine was added a BLTouch for automatic bed “leveling”. It’s not too complicated to add. CRtouch is same thing just by Creality. It’s a probe mounted to the hotend carriage that probes the bed across a predefined amount of points. Will probably need to upgrade firmware as well, which isn’t too hard either. I haven’t messed with an ender in a long time though so not sure how they come set up these days.

I ended up making so many modifications to mine (linear rails, extruder, hotend, controller), so it’s basically a completely different printer now minus the frame lol. Then I ended up buying a Bambu X1.

They can be great printers though.
