Is December a good month or bad month for sales in that industry? (not necessarily directed at you)

No clue. I know a lot of companies put the throttle down in December because they know it can be slow and they want to set things up for a fast start in January.

But getting people to commit to anything in late Nov and Dec is a chore. That’s why the whole “circle back after the holidays” meme is a thing.

Not making excuses for her, but judging a first time sales person entirely on how they perform in Q4 is tough. They must have a very short sales cycle for their product.

It's terrible. Most companies commit their annual budget early in Q4 and won't even entertain a conversation like this after Thanksgiving because 1 they don't know what their budget for next year will look like yet and 2 the people they'd have to involve along the way are in and out all month.
