I didn’t love the secondary hires. Cooks had a pretty dicey track record and Steeples was total flyer.

Otherwise, I think his biggest mistake was promoting an analyst last year rather than hiring a real special team coach.

Remember, a lot of shite that happened was bad luck. He hired a solid DLine coach and lost him late in the process year 2. We know what happened to his successors health. I don’t think DLine was a talent issue this year. They had enough quality bodies, but then Wingo got hurt, Mason wasn’t the same coming off the knee injury and clearly was weaker in the lower body, etc.
