What part of Lake Erie are you going to?
A few years ago, we went to Put-In-Bay, Ohio for a getaway and went on a charter trip and caught some really nice walleye.
When I was young, my family had a cabin in Rhinelander, WI and we used to go up there for weeks at a time to walleye fish.
