If this were 2004 this would be a great idea but UW needs to actually improve recruiting, and a 73 year old who has been out of the college game for 15 years (when it was far simpler and not nearly as exhausting) is not the answer

“You’re going to fit right in to what we’re building here at Washington” is simply not an effective pitch when the person saying it is almost guaranteed to not see the construction through. You simply cannot recruit at a decent level as a de facto interim which is absolutely how he would be perceived
