Navigating childhood with alcoholics, mentally ill without knowing that’s what was going on (normalcy to me). I was already making poor choices without even knowing what a poor choice was. Yes, MY 10 year old anxiety filled self thinking and decision making. Does a fish know it’s wet?

True, and this isn’t meant to dump on you.

I didn’t paint the whole picture in the OP, it’s not all utopian white picket fences.

I was thinking of London Breed, highest paid mayor in the US, $350k+ has a drug addict younger sister, and a murderer felon of an older brother.

Same home, same neighborhood, same family, we must assume the same “nurturing”….what makes her different?

What made you specifically impacted than your other siblings?

Again, not meant as an attack, but trying to better understand perspective
