I didn't realize that people discussed board games in this group! I've been playing board games for many years now. As with many people, Settlers of Catan was the game that opened my eyes to modern board games.

Castles of Burgundy is such a wonderful game. It's my wife's all-time favorite board game.

Some of my favorites are:

A Feast for Odin
Brass: Birmingham (& Lancashire)
Concordia
Agricola
Great Western Trail
Grand Austria Hotel
Dune Imperium
Five Tribes
Quest for El Dorado
Nusflord
Bora Bora
Power Grid
Heat: Pedal to Metal
Ra
Ready Set Bet

Playing Settlers of Catan is always a blast. I have fond memories of gathering with friends around the table, plotting strategies, and wheeling and dealing for resources.

my first time ever having a THC hard candy was the same night we were playing some Catan. Started out wheeling and dealing and strategically doing my thing. About halfway through the game, the gummy finally hit and I spent the rest of the game rolling dice and collecting resource cards. I physically couldn't do anything that required any sort of decision making or strategy.

I would be down to host a board game night at my restaurant. I have a side room we could use on a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday night and could take care of wings and beer. The down side is it is in houma
