Atlanta also likely has a LOT higher cost of living. $150,000 salary goes a lot further in BR then it does in ATL, and you should be saving money in BR on some employees allowing you to pay MORE for your employees that you need the outside talent.


Yes, it is. It's not that difficult to learn how to cook Cajun food and I'm sure they'll still have a presence here, just not the headquarters.
Training is usually the biggest expense for a business that is growing or relocating so a company can actually come out ahead in a high cost yet large highly educated area.

Louisiana has to realize, economic development isn't just about costs and taxes. It's also about the quality of life and education/workplace development.

Defunding education/workforce development, infrastructure, or law enforcement is almost just as bad as raising taxes in an economic development POV.
