I suggest Petit Jean Mountain. You can stay in a motel room at the lodge, rent a cabin or yurt, or rv or tent camp. Lots of great hiking and views and not as touristy as hot springs. Been going since I was a kid and would love to buy a place while prices are still reasonable. Never seen a bear or mountain lion there fwiw.
