Been bugging me this week but no one knows. Song was by a male soloist and played around mid 2010s on top hits radio station. It was about a missed opportunity with a girl kind of like You're Beautiful or Hey Delilah. Wanna say he was singing to his imaginary kids about her but could be remembering wrong. There might have been row boats or canoes, but don't know if it was in the lyrics or music video or I'm totally making shite up.

And ChatGPT says:
Based on your description, it's a bit challenging to pinpoint the exact song, but I'll try to suggest a few possibilities that match some elements of your description. Keep in mind that the details may not match perfectly, and the interpretation can vary. Here are a few songs that might fit the criteria:
"Budapest" by George Ezra (2014):
The song talks about missed opportunities and could be interpreted as addressing someone special.
The music video doesn't specifically feature row boats or canoes, but the theme is somewhat nostalgic.
"Riptide" by Vance Joy (2013):
The song has a catchy and upbeat feel, and it might be associated with the mid-2010s.
The lyrics don't directly match your description, but it has a whimsical vibe.
"Home" by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros (2010):
The song is more about love and togetherness, but it features a male and female duet.
The music video includes scenes in a row boat, and it has a folk-indie style.
These are just guesses based on your description, and the details might not align perfectly. If none of these songs match, providing more specific details could help narrow down the search.
