100% correct and goes far beyond your specific point.
Women only date/marry UP, and when society is completely dedicated to supporting women and destroying men, "up" becomes smaller and smaller.

I've seen a lot of this first hand from my white trash hometown. Mediocre broads will get a degree (on loans) at direction-state university and think they're Carrie from Sex and the City. they don't realize that this doesn't impress finance bros and business men from the city they moved to after graduation.
