re: Dudes dropping out of dating game.

It feels to me like money in general is way bigger on social media than it was just a handful of years ago.

When I was in college I would see pretty, well off sorority girls post albums of (many unflattering) pictures of partying in their modest college apartment. Or just a basic pic with friends at a bar or frat party.

Now, if that same demo posts anything, it’s edited, in some sort of beautiful and exclusive location, wearing very expensive clothes and jewelry.

I can’t open Instagram without seeing jets, porches, Italian designer brands, etc.… and I went to public school and lsu.

I think women were more realistic about money just ten years ago. Now, many of them really seem to think they belong in that world but are 5’6 165 lbs and middle class. Not long ago, those girls knew their ceiling was a decent house in mandeville and a Tahoe. social media had exposed and normalized the upper class lifestyle to middle class people on a daily basis. Used to be you had to actually be with those people IRL to see much of that stuff.
