I've never not had a private office.
I can't imagine the anxiety it would give me to 1) not have a door and 2) have my back to an open hallway
The lack of anxiety seems like it would be worth the $15k

I’d take option B all day long.
I went from shared private office to “bullpen”. Not having privacy for phone calls & having the distractions of other people is not for me.
Another poster said take the money and look for a new job. This is what I did.
