I guess this is what people were using to predict Oregon would beat Washington... both times.

So that's why you need multiple formulas, because not every team is accurately read by each formula.

Aha, that's the issue. Washington doesn't blow teams out. That win over Texas was something like their 9th 1-score game.

Meanwhile, Penn State is #5 because they get a bump from playing Michigan AND Ohio State, and another from scores because they slaughter the rest of the Big 10 by 20-30 pts a game.
I suppose "team talent and recruiting" is why Ole Miss and Mizzou aren't even on this list.
