I'm going with the 4 reolink cameras+nvr bundle on sale at Amazon for 339 and adding the poe reolink doorbell which is on sale for 75 dollars.

That should be a good start I think.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Just not quite ready to jump into armcrest and having to also purchase blue iris on top since their app seems a little lame.

This is going to be such a step up in terms of quality and usability from ring. Don't ever want to pay $10/mo again to be able to review my video footage.

I think you'll be happy with that setup. I predict that you'll fill up the empty POE slots on the NVR in no time.

One suggestion I'd make is to add one of their PTZ cameras to the mix. We've found ours to be super useful and the kid loves panning and zooming in on things in the yard/neighborhood. Also, Reolink has standalone POE floodlights that can be triggered by motion alerts on other cameras. For example, the doorbell detects a person at the front door. This triggers the POE floodlights on the front of the house to illuminate. That seems like a very useful feature to me.
