So assuming the Cowboys coaching staff was scouting they might have been on alert for #58, and then having the Cowboys hopefully mix up #58 and #68
#70 wasn’t even part of the trick play at all the official is just a lazy moron

If he doesn’t run at the ref motioning his arms as if he were reporting as eligible then it works.
