Hardback. I'll buy a paperback if it's a new author or a new book I don't know I'll like. If it's a book I like, I will almost always buy it in hardback and try to buy the earliest edition possible. I like having a full bookshelf/adding books to my collection.
Started doing some audio books last year but I don't really consider that reading if I'm being honest. I was oddly opposed to audio books for no good reason other than I thought it was just cheating/lazy. Which was a pretty ridiculous take. I've come around on them and do enjoy them and listened to audiobooks probably as much as I did music last year while in my truck. Definitely prefer reading to listening, but I'm glad I got over my hard headed refusal to listen to them stage.
