There’s no reason it wouldn’t. Teams go on streaks all the time. Players get hurt, some players make leaps in performance.
This is literally why the games are played…to find out. If you, me or anyone else actually knew there’d be no point to any of this.

There is no point to a 12 team playoff. Four teams is stretching it.
The current no. 12 (OU) is not going to suddenly get hot and go through the likes of UGA, Bama, Texas, Washington, Michigan, et all. It’s completely absurd to suggest that they will.
Hell..they couldn’t even take care of business against #14 Arizona on Thursday.
