There is a fairly large contingent of people capable of living off the land. Also what about the firearms that people have had custom built, the firearms people have inherited, or the ones purchased "off the books"? You're talking about the same government who found out in Vietnam that guerilla warfare was an entirely different animal than conventional warfare and obviously learned nothing based on how the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan played out. Not to mention the current military is comprised to a large degree by a bunch of soy boys and SJWs.
