And I wonder how much better we would be now if, in those pivotal years of history sandwiched between 9/11 and the Great Recession, all in the aftermath of a Cold War victory and unfettered American power, we had circumstances whereupon instead of the rot listed above we had elected a Ron Paul instead of a W, a Dennis Kucinich instead of an Obama, and so on. Actual people who actually believed in the Constitution, America, its principles, rather than the consolidation and leverage of government power, the uses of which will forever alter the country from those crucial moments forward. The safeguards and deliberations of American freedom and function were discarded and obliterated. Forever.

This county was mortally wounded by 16 straight years of W and Obama. It will never be the same. It’s dying, in fact. Some just don’t know it yet or can’t believe it.
