It’s just hard to get fired up over the matchup - no hate for them, except I am disappointed they abandoned their traditional run scheme.
It was comforting to watch a power 5 team in 2018 line up in the offset I with 2 tight and run power to the strong side.
Were we playing ND right now I really think BK would have convinced Daniels to start.

but if you don’t think half the fan base was calling for Nuss to start before the season started, you have a very short memory.
Yup, this site was full of corksoaking armchair idiots that were screaming for JD to be benched. Dumbasses - Every single one of them!

Nussmeier is not your typical first-time starter. He will put up some good numbers. He has such a good arm, he will try and make some throws he shouldn't. He will be an excellent QB for LSU and will get drafted. I expect Nuss to play well. He has had plenty of time to learn the system. His arm talent has always been there.

Wisconsin hasn’t scored 40 points this season; I’m betting that the Matt House Defense will give up 41.

Can we actually play a RB that can dominate a game?

Man some of y’all can’t just take a post for what it says.
1st of all, anybody in their right, UNBIASED mind would have a hard time predicting who would be the better option for LSU after last season.
The ONLY thing I remember “screaming” last year was for JD5 to throw the darn ball. Just about every game.
So for a full season of that, and then Nuss to come in after JD got hurt a couple times, and have ZERO hesitation throwing the football, and for most of those throws to be the right decision, it was completely reasonable for a LSU fan to expect a tight QB race in the offseason.
Given JD5’s results LAST year compared to what we saw from Nuss in limited doses, I wouldn’t call anybody a dumbass for wanting Nuss to start.
With that said, I’m glad that JD5 had DRASTIC improvement and development in the off season and was able to start “throwing the darn ball.”
He started throwing the ball like we all were begging for, and the result was even better than anticipated.
So no. Nobody is a dumbass for not being able to predict a DRASTIC difference in JD5 from 2022 to 2023.
And Nuss has given us all plenty of reason to believe he will put on a show on Monday. Which was the point of the post in the first place.
