re: What in the hell is wrong with medical billing?

Dentist here and I agree that it is a total racket and it makes me feel like I'm a con-artist or something sometimes. The worst is when we get a pre-estimate from the insurance company for a procedure to get an accurate OOP for the patient, and then after the procedure is done, the insurance changes their mind and says the procedure wasn't necessary and we either need to be the bad guy and bill the patient more and run our reputation and business into the ground, or write off the loss and run our business into the ground
