Did you mean to say that it would take a lot of milk chocolate to hurt a dog?
Dark chocolate is a different story. A full bar of bakers chocolate can easily kill a dog.
From my experience last year. If your dog is experiencing chocolate (theobromine) toxicity. You will know. Heart racing, rapid breathing, constantly drinking water, tremors and shaking. The vomiting and diarrhea can also lead to dehydration which only compounds the issues.
In my estimation a full bar of bakers chocolate would constitute a lot. I suspect a whole bar would be about 1/4 pound. It would take a massive amount of milk chocolate to do anything but give them diarrhea...
