Who do we think he could be talking about?

Mckinley and possibly Bussie. But that is just talk right now. Adding those two guys would push this class to near Top 5.

See these dudes look like they ready to rip someone’s head off. I love that about Louisiana athletes. They’re typically tough as hell, will work their butts off and put on for the Tigers when it’s time. Of course I love to get the 3 year starters, like Patrick Peterson, Arden Key, Chassion but most of our stars were Louisiana boys. Saban almost exclusively recruited the state of Louisiana in his first 3 years and got a few from OOS but the kids from this state are the ones who put LSU on the map again.

This state is notoriously underrated, especially the northern part of the state and rural areas. Our staff needs to be looking hard for diamonds in the rough at the DL position all over Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. St. Louis is another area that always has overlooked prospects. Let’s hire some assistants to get in these areas and find guys every year, on top of recruiting the well known guys. That way we always land 4-6 solid DLman every season. I’d continue doing this for the entire defense if I could and at the very least the DL and any other position that needs attention. I’d never stop recruiting the DL as hard a I possibly could.

I just feel like we could be doing so much more than we are to find quality DL prospects. They are out there, we just have to get the resources on the ground to find them and then get them into the class. Whatever Florida State is doing, follow their lead or go get their coaches. They have a tremendous DL all around with depth and LSU should look exactly like that. It’s the only area that I can’t wrap my head around. Why can’t we or why don’t we have the best DLman rotating our DL? We absolutely should and the only reason I can come up with, is that we aren’t putting enough of a priority on it.
