You missed an opportunity. If you have a sure enough, researched, and comfortable low price and they balk at cash… just ask the salesman how many payments it takes before the commission on the financing kicks in. See if they agree to just let you pay the 3, 4, or 5 payments to get the commission on the finance and then cut the check.


I’ve seen that done when the negotiations was at a stalemate.

They may still say no because they probably had a few percent tacked on the buy rate.

Or just never ever offer cash. Finance it and pay it off next month, frick their commission
